Ice gola, Chuski gola, you can call it whatever you want. This summer dish brings out the child in everyone. The story of how these Shape Ices were invented is as vibrant and colourful as the form of these icy treats. There is a Japanese flavour to this origin story.

Some believe that it was invented by the Japanese during the Hiyama period (794 to 1185 AD). When the ice was brought down from the mountains and stored in a cave named Himura, the ice was considered rare and served only to royalty.

Snow cones got their start in 1919, when Samuel Butte, a resident of East Dallas, began selling them at the State Care of Texas. He patented his ice crushing machine the next year. By the 1950s, approximately one million snow cones were being sold each year.

Shape ice, which contains more syrup than a traditional ice cone. As the popularity of Shape Ice grew in its innumerable forms, it began to appear in street shops around the world, including India.

बर्फ का गोला, चुस्की गोला आप इसे कुछ भी कह सकते हो । यह गर्मी का व्यंजन हर किसी मे बच्चे को बाहर लाता है । इन शेप आईस का आविष्कार कैसे किया गया इसकी कहानी उतनी ही जीवंत और बहरंगी है जितनी कि इन बर्फीले व्यवहारो का रुप । इस मुल कहानी मे एक जापानी स्वाद है ।

कुछ लोगो का मानना है कि इसका आविष्कार जापानियो द्वारा हियाम-काल (७९४ से ११८५ इस्वी) के दौरान किया गया था । जब बर्फ को पहाडो से निचे लाया जाता था और हिमुरा नाम गुफा मे संग्रहीत किया जाता था बर्फ को तब दुर्लभ माना जाता था और बर्फ केवल रोयल्टी के लिए परोसा जाता था ।

स्नो कोन ने १९१९ मे अपनी शुरुआत की, जब इस्ट डलास निवासी सैमुअल बटे ने टेकसास के स्टेट केयर मे उन्हे बेचना शुरु किया । उन्होने अगले वर्ष अपनी आईस क्रशिंग मशीन का पेटंट कराया । १९५० के दशक तक हर साल लगभग एक मिलियन स्नो कोन बेचे जा रहे थे ।

शेप आईस, जिसमे पारंपरिक बर्फ शंकु की तुलना मे अधिक सिरप होता है । जैसे-जैसे अपने असंख्य रुपो मे शेप आईस की लोकप्रियता बढती गई व भारत सहित दुनिया भर की सडक की दुकानो मे दिखाई देने लगा ।
